Princeville is a census-designated place (CDP) located on the north shore of Kauai, Hawaii, US. It was established in the 1800s as a sugar plantation and later developed into a resort community in the 1960s. The CDP is named after Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole, who was a member of the Hawaiian royal family. Princeville is known for its lush landscapes, upscale accommodations, and the nearby Hanalei Bay, a popular beach and surfing destination.
