Dwight is a village in Livingston County, Illinois, US, founded in 1855. It was named after Dwight L. Moody, a prominent evangelist. The town is known for the Dwight Tower, a historic water tower built in 1892, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Dwight has a rich railroad history, being a stop on the Illinois Central Railroad. Today, it is a small, tight-knit community with a population of approximately 4,200.
