Pinckneyville is a city in Perry County, Illinois, US. It was established in 1818 and named after Charles Pinckney, a signer of the United States Constitution. The city served as the county seat until 1827, when it was moved to Perryville. Pinckneyville is home to the historic Harrisburg-Ridgway Railroad Depot, which was built in 1892 and is now a museum. The city has a population of approximately 5,500 people.
