Sublette, Illinois, US is a village in Lee County with a population of approximately 450 as of 2019. It was incorporated in 1872 and named after George W. Sublette, a fur trader and mountain man. The town's economy was historically based on agriculture and livestock, but has since diversified. Sublette is home to the historic Sublette Inn, a well-known landmark that was built in 1906 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
