Flora, Indiana, US is a town in Carroll County, established in 1869. It was named after Flora, a character in the novel "Ivanhoe" by Sir Walter Scott. The town has a rich railroad history, with the first train arriving in 1872. Flora is home to the Carnegie Library, built in 1916, which is one of the remaining Carnegie libraries in Indiana and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
