Cloverdale, MI is a small unincorporated community in Newaygo County. It was first settled in the 1850s and named for the abundant clover that grew in the area. The community was initially a stagecoach stop and later became a hub for logging and farming. The Cloverdale Bridge, built in 1905, is a notable landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
