West Point, NE is a city in Cuming County, established in 1871 and incorporated in 1880. It was named after the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. The city is home to the Nissen House, a historic landmark built in 1879, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. West Point has a rich agricultural history and is known for its annual Cuming County Fair. As of the 2020 census, the city has a population of approximately 3,300 residents.
