Lockland, Ohio, US is a small city in Hamilton County, established in 1815. It was originally a farming community, but the arrival of the railroad in 1851 transformed it into an industrial center. The city was named after the lock system on the Miami and Erie Canal. Lockland is home to the historic Woodward Opera House, built in 1878, which is one of the oldest operating theaters in the United States. Today, Lockland has a diverse population of around 3,000 residents.
