Elgin, Oklahoma, US is a small town in Comanche County, established in 1902. It was named after Robert Morris Elgin, a railroad official. The town was originally a farming community, but later became known for its oil production. Elgin is home to the Hedlund House, a notable attraction built in 1914, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, the town has a population of approximately 2,000 people.
