Hinton, Oklahoma, US is a town located in Caddo County, approximately 35 miles west of Oklahoma City. It was established in 1891 and incorporated in 1902. The town was named after a local family who were early settlers in the area. Hinton is known for its historic downtown district, which features several buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. One notable landmark is the Hinton Historic Train Depot, which was built in 1909 and served as a stop on the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad.
