Bridgeville is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in 1828 and is named after the original bridge built across Chartiers Creek. The community was primarily agricultural until the arrival of the Pittsburgh, Virginia and Charleston Railway in 1871, which led to its growth as an industrial center. A notable landmark is the Bridgeville Historic District, which includes over 100 structures from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
