Moon Township is a township in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, US, established in 1788. It was named after the nearby Moon Lake and has a rich history, including being the site of the Whiskey Rebellion's final battle in 1794. The township covers an area of 26.6 square miles, housing a population of approximately 25,000. Moon Township is home to Robert Morris University and the Moon Golf Club, an 18-hole public golf course.
