Nesquehoning is a borough in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in 1856 and incorporated in 1864. The town was a significant anthracite coal mining center during the 19th and early 20th centuries. A notable attraction is the Nesquehoning Silk Mill, the last surviving silk mill in the state, which was built in 1897 and produced silk until 1972.
