Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, US is a borough in Chester County, established in 1873. It was named after John L. Parks, a director of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The borough has a rich industrial history, once home to the Pennsylvania Steel Company and numerous other manufacturers. A notable landmark is the Parkesburg Baptist Church, a historic building with Gothic Revival architecture, constructed in 1902. Today, Parkesburg is a small, residential community with a population of approximately 3,500.
