Hatillo is a municipality located in the northwestern part of Puerto Rico, US. It was founded in 1823 by Don José Ramón Paúl and was named after the hat-making industry that was prevalent during that time. The town is known for its unique tradition of "Festival de las Mascaras" (Festival of Masks), which takes place every year in December and attracts visitors from all over the island. The festival honors the town's patron saint, San Antonio de Padua, and features a parade with people wearing elaborate masks and costumes.
