Cedarburg, Wisconsin, US is a city in Ozaukee County, established in 1846 by German immigrants. It was originally named "Dobberphul's Mill" after Friedrich Dobberphul, who built a sawmill there. The city was later renamed "Cedarburg" due to the abundant cedar trees in the area. Cedarburg is known for its well-preserved historic downtown, which includes the Cedarburg Covered Bridge, built in 1876, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
