Vacaville is a city located in Solano County, California, US, founded in 1851 by William McDaniel. It was originally a stagecoach stop between Sacramento and San Francisco. The city was named after the rancho owned by Manuel Vaca, who granted half of the rancho to Lopez for the establishment of the town. Vacaville is known for the Nut Tree, a notable roadside attraction turned commercial center, and its agricultural industry, particularly the cultivation of fruits and nuts.
