Granger, Indiana, US is a census-designated place in St. Joseph County, established in the late 1800s. It was named after the president of the local interurban railway, Walter Granger. The town experienced growth with the arrival of the interurban and the South Bend-Elkhart Railroad. Granger is home to the Erskine Golf Course, a notable landmark designed by A.W. Tillinghast in 1923.
