Severn is a census-designated place in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, US. It was named after the River Severn in England. The area was originally settled by Native Americans and later by European colonists in the 17th century. Severn is home to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum's B&O Ellicott City Station, the oldest surviving railroad station in the United States.
