Saint Peters, Missouri, US is a city in St. Charles County, established in 1798 and incorporated in 1910. It was originally named "Mound City" due to the area's numerous Native American mounds. The city was later renamed to honor Peter von Dreisbach, a German immigrant and veteran of the Revolutionary War. Saint Peters is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and outdoor activities, including a visit to the historic Spanish colonial-style Chatillon-DeMenil Mansion.
