Hazlet is a township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, US, established in 1848. It was named after Rowland Hazard, a local industrialist. The township covers an area of 11.4 square miles and had a population of approximately 20,334 as of 2010. Hazlet is home to the historic Amboys Fort which played a significant role during the American Revolutionary War. The township offers a variety of recreational activities with its numerous parks and open spaces.
