Latham is a hamlet in Albany County, New York, United States. It is part of the town of Colonie and has a population of approximately 20,000. The area was first settled in the late 17th century and was originally known as "Clum's Ditch." The name was later changed to Latham in the early 19th century, in honor of a local judge. A notable attraction in Latham is the Latham Circle Mall, a popular shopping destination that opened in 1972.
