The village is home to the World's Largest Teapot, a 14-foot-tall roadside attraction originally built in 1938 as a advertisement for the Hudepohl-Schoenling Brewing Company. South Point has a rich history in the coal mining industry and was once a major transportation hub for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.
