Union Gap, Washington, US is a city located in Yakima County. It was originally incorporated as the town of Union Gap in 1917 and later reincorporated as a city in 1975. The city is named for the gap in the nearby Rattlesnake Hills, a geological feature that created a natural pass through the mountain range. Union Gap is home to the Central Washington Agricultural Museum, which features a large collection of historic agricultural equipment and buildings. The city has a population of approximately 6,500 people.
