Otsego is a village located in Allegan County, Michigan, US. It was settled in the mid-1800s and incorporated as a village in 1872. The community was named after Otsego Lake, which is located in New York state and was the setting for James Fenimore Cooper's novel "The Last of the Mohicans." The village is known for its annual Otsego County Fair, which has been held since 1851 and is one of the oldest fairs in the state. The fair attracts thousands of visitors each year and features agricultural exhibits, livestock shows, and carnival rides.
