Smith, NV, US is a town in Clark County, established in 1906 during the construction of the nearby railroad. It was named after James Smith, a foreman for the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad. The town's population peaked at 1,500 in the 1940s, but has since declined to around 1,200. Smith is home to the notable landmark, the International Car Forest of the Last Church, an outdoor art installation featuring over 40 cars half-buried in the desert.
