Freeport, OH, US is a village in Harrison County, established in 1831 and incorporated in 1869. It was named after Freeport, IL, the hometown of one of its founders. The village is known for its historic downtown district and the Freeport Covered Bridge, a 146-foot long wooden bridge built in 1871, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As of the 2020 census, the population of Freeport was approximately 350.
